HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS

1.

12 weekly sessions, each lasting 90 minutes

Each session includes 30 minutes of education, followed by a 60 minute full body workout

3.

Each session focuses on a different topic around nutrition and behaviour change 

4.

Additional support and resources to help you be as successful as possible

Sessions are:

​​For anyone aged 18-65 with a BMI of 27.5+

Held at multiple venues across Hertfordshire and Harrow

Held in the evenings for maximum convenience

Run every January, April and September

Completely FREE of charge

Evaluation

In 2016 the Shape Up programme commissioned the University of Hertfordshire to do a qualitative evaluation of Shape Up.

 

Researchers from the university attended sessions and spoke to participants about their experiences of the programme.

The report was published in 2016, and can be found opposite. Off the back of the research, many changes were implemented to address the suggestions outlined, and the programme has since been developed significantly.
